Krishna Prakash Vasant Jagadale

I am Krishna Prakash, a contemporary artist deeply inspired by the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Karnataka. My artistic practice is rooted in the traditional Surpur line-art style, which I explore and reinterpret through intricate monochromatic drawings. My work is driven by a fascination with detail, mythology, spirituality, and storytelling. Through fine lines and carefully constructed compositions, I create artworks that bring together traditional Indian imagery and my own contemporary artistic vision. I have dedicated myself to understanding and preserving the visual language of Surpur art while giving it a fresh expression for today's audience. My artworks often draw inspiration from Indian mythology, divine figures, nature, and symbolic forms, allowing me to explore the connection between tradition, imagination, and spirituality. For me, every line has a purpose and every artwork carries a story. Through my practice, I hope to keep the spirit of Surpur art alive while continuing to discover new possibilities within this beautiful and intricate tradition.
