JAGADEESH

I am Jagadeesh Naik, a contemporary artist deeply inspired by the timeless beauty of Hase Chittara - the traditional mural art of Karnataka. For me, Chittara is more than just lines and patterns; it is a visual language of our heritage. It carries within it stories, sacred symbols, deep-rooted beliefs, and the rhythm of everyday village life.Through my work, I strive to take this ancient tribal expression beyond the walls of homes and into contemporary spaces, keeping its soul, simplicity and spirituality alive while giving it a new relevance for today.
